I heard the distant rumble but had little time to register it from where i was in the west pack stadium cuddled up in a blanket watching the hurricanes play.
Before i knew it the noise sounded like it was right outside.
I peered over the rails and there it was it was a gigantic Hurricane.
I guess the hurricanes ( as in the rugby players ) do have bad luck. It came closer and closer untill it was really inside the stadium. The players got rushed inside off the field and as it swooped passed we were all amazed that there was no damage. As the game cam closer to the end we all felt tierd and got home and went straight to bed!

Johnny's birthday!
When I stumbled into the pool my eyes directed straight to the leaning cake!
watching it made me feel scared that it was going to fall. I wondered how Maryann had achieved such a feature on the cake.
" WOW" i said " How did you make that?"
" Well it took allot of skill"
" ohhh" " It would take me along time to achieve something like that!"
" it takes time she said in a proud excited voice"
When i saw the cake i knew the party was going to be awsome! We all SPLASHED into the big pool.
Logan was calling me,
" Hannah Hannah i cant swim" he shouts
" ok Logan i will teach you"
We started to kick around the pool then i told him to use his arms. Away he goes. He can swim now. He can swim now but he can only swim a little way and then he stops.
Hey but at least he can swim!

Holiday story (zoo)
"Quick! " I shout " We need to get off the bus to zip into the Zoo! Suddenly we spy a tiger. The Tiger was standing tall and proud. When we carry on the journey we get distracted when a chimpanzee scurries up onto the top of a platform in there playhouse. It was Benny. We were not surprised that it was Benny because Benny is the cheeky chimpanzee. The Chimpanzees are the funniest so they keep us entertained. They are the best animals to watch. We could sit here all day and watch them. They always jump like Kangaroos.
The Chimpanzees that I find the most funny are Jess; the oldest female. But it has a funny spot.
Benny: the youngest male also the cheekiest he gets a little bit jealous because his mum is Jess and Jess has a little little black baby.
Jay is the lion of the chimpanzee pack!
They all hide under the rocks when you try to talk to' The Baby'.
Once we had finished looking at the chimps we scurried along to the African village, There are a whole lot of lulu's. Lulu's are a hand made house that is not fully enclosed. There was a very big lulu but we found it wasn't a lulu because it was fully enclosed. We peered in it was full of drums made of animal fur. We started to have a jamming session. As we peered out of the big sack windows we looked at the giraffes but only the bottom of them because they are soo tall. I had to take Jonty and Thomas to the chickens and goats while Grandma and Rose went down to get a coffee. I shout out to them saying, "Quick! Come and look over this big brown fence." Some Black Goats were standing tall and were puffing up their chests.
But sadly the chickens were getting fed, Well sad for us but Good for the chickens!
We meet back up with grandma and rose, very quickly we raced over to the monkeys there were little baby ones they were running round like rabbits and they were chasing there tails. The big monkeys were digging for food! we found a ride back to the train on the zoo bus it had lots of decorations in it then we had a long journey back on the train!

Random awesome poem
The cold blooded caterpillar creeps out of its hole,
Peers through the rambles of trees and seeks a strange bowl.
The caterpillar called Colin stares at the abnormal thing (abnormal to him)
He looks and finds a name.
He reads the name.
He stares because he finds that it has a weird rhyming sound.
The name that he reads sounds unreal but spiritral weird but continental ... it is Harry! ( giggle giggle)
He heaves the strange thing back to his hole and tries to pull it in,
When it tries to pull back it growls an unusual growl!
Colin gets a humongous fright and slips of the bowl
He tried to hang on with all his might.
He tramples to the ground when Harry the dog comes along!
SQUASH
That was the end of Colin but Harry had a happy ending.
He found his long lost bowl!!!

Bungie jumps
321 bungee
Emma's knees slowly bend.
Again
321 bungee
She jumps and when she falls I can almost feel the blood rushing to her head when she hangs upside down. She gets lowered down to the trampoline so she can get untied.
Now dad's turn
321 bungee
He falls. His final words are # # # # and ****
I'm very glad I couldn't hear them very well.
Now Emma has no room because dad is getting lowered down to the tramp. So Emma has to be little and sit squashed up in the corner. She said it felt like she was touching the water.
Then a strange looking thing; green and round with 2 seats gets, lowered down to the tramp. Then Emma hoists herself up onto it and then it starts floating away from the corner of the boat. So she has to grab the stick and gets pulled back so dad can clamber on. Then they slowly took leave of the trampoline and got back to the top so they could blurt and spread the word. That they both just did!

Girl guides
OMG why are you bringing me a bowl of jelly?
Why is there a bag with badges in it?
Why are you putting a teatowel on my lap?
Why are you all laughing at us?
Why do I feel that I am going to get jelly on my face?
So many questions in so little time. NOW tell me what are we going to have to do!
By we I mean Amber,Charlotte and Me. When I get my badges I finish eating my jelly. While me and Amber are waiting for hours for Charlotte to finish. Her face was also bright purple from all of the jelly that she had eaten. I get home and I can still feel my sticky face after ages.
I can't wait till November when we get enrolled to become a guide at a big ceremony, eating posh food, going on a big stage. I can just imagine it.
"Errr," mum says, I'm ruining your dream but it won't be that fancy!

Hugo's birthday
Beep beep beep!
My heart pounds as I feel I'm forgetting about something special to do with family.
Bring bring!
I answer the phone. It sounds low so I guess that it is Grandad.
"Hey guess who I talked to this morning."
I think and think and think and think. My brains feels like it is starting to blow up .I just ask who. Who exactly?
HUGO! Don't you remember?
Remember what?
Its Hugo's birthday today.
Oh yeah ... 1st birthday and we forgot!
Can I talk to mum?
Yep sure!
I stumble and race to give mum the phone. I rip up some paper, write something ... nope not good enough . Look I found a cute nursery rhyme book and CD. This is perfect.

Gondalas and luge in Queenstown
Up, up and away as we sit in these gondolas and look down at the humongous hill that we are creeping up.
The hill gets steeper and steeper.
I get worried, thinking in my head that I will be luging down this huge hill. When we get up there I realise that we will be luging down the tip of it.
Because we get out of the gondalas and hop straight onto the chair lift and go to the tippy top of the hill. We get our helmets and up we go. We hop of the chair lift and we go over the bridge and grab a luge, test our brakes and off we go.
We go under the bridge, round 6 corners, through 2 tunnels and then into the hole at the end. It took about 5-6 minutes and it was lots of fun.

Ice skating in Queenstown
Mum. Wow! Look at this. They fit perfectly. Mum can i have a penguin? No Can I have this then? No. Stop asking for things. OK. My words sound like a stutter.
Ok I'm on ice. Why isn't it cracking? That is probably the whole point of ice skating ... you are skating on ice. Who do you think I will crash into first if i do.
I will start of by going round the rink a couple of times then I will try to go backwards. Well I will figure out how to.
I watch these girls flowing backwards like a swan.
Here comes Hannah prancing round looking like she's trying to be an exsplosive.
Half an hour later.
Mum look! I can do it gracefully now!
Sort of mum mumbles to herself.
Yeah sort of . How do those people do it so gracefully!

On the plane
The noise was increasing on the plane and we got passed disgusting town water.
I got given a lolly pop and a magazine.
I read it all the way to Queenstown! It took about 2 hours and I also got given a cookie with it.
It was blueberry and it had ginger on it.
I looked out the window and all I could see was big puffy clouds; all snowy and white.
We looked out the windows when we were half way there and we saw the Remarkable Mountains.
There was a little bit of snow on them.

Looking after Hugo
I am learning to use a wide range of vocabulary so it makes my writing more interesting.

Wee ... As I see Hugo's face suddenly start to grin.
He giggles at the end of the bumpy slide.
I go across the steaming hot poles with Hugo in one hand and balancing with the other.
We get to the tunnel and a screech passes my head as Jonty goes down the slide.
Hugo giggles and does a hugoley growl to tell us where he is.
He pokes his head out of the little hole!
Then he trys to come out but I keep him in so I can get him across.
I glide him over the tunnel and he crawls out.
I try not to stand in the puddles of dribble.
I sit him on my lap and he is giggling before we even go down.
3 2 1... Weeee... we go down the slide again!
Flaming shed
Flames are burning and spitting like fire works.
As the colour is making me feel delusional.
It feels like devils are in my eyes.
The shed is gone in seconds.
The fire truck is getting hoses pulled out from everywhere.
We wonder if it was a controlled fire or if it was unexpected.
But come on! We're in Apiti! Anything could've happened.
The fire is glazing with bright colour.
We drive past and try not to get spat on or the Ute could go up in flames!
As the colour is making me feel delusional.
