GRIP leadership day

We arrived at the GRIP leadership day which was at the Convention centre in Palmerston North.
The room was filled with about 250 other young leaders. The programme and format of the day seemed really well planned out. I couldn't wait to get started and learn new skills. When the presenter came out and started talking to us, one thing stuck in my mind the whole time that he had said at the beginning. " Everyone can be a leader" and it made me think that really ANYONE can be a leader as long has they have the determination to achieve for themselves and others. When we had the Loud noise section everyone was so excited. All the activities that we did were ones that helped us meet people from other schools and socialize. I found it very fun and easy to talk to others. We were all keen to meet new people and have a great time so it was easy to talk to others from different schools.
I learnt what the leadership meaning of Paper Scissors Rock is,
PAPER- Plan   SCISSORS- Take action    ROCK- stay strong.
